Used Portable Massage Chair

If you are considering chair massage, you may want to consider a used portable massage chair. But where can you find a good used chair? I can think of several places for you to look.

First, if you are still in massage school, there may be a bulletin board for students. At my school, there was. Former students would post cards selling massage tables and chairs for sale as they upgraded to better equipments when their practices grew. So check with your school to see if they have a student bulletin board. Check out the chair personally to see if it is in good condition before you pay for it.

Next, check with your massage school and other massage schools in the area to see if they are selling massage chairs. Many times, massage schools get new furniture and will sell the older tables and chairs that are in good condition. Make sure there are no tears. Also, make sure that they are sturdy and lightweight, especially if you are planning on making outcalls with your chair.

Check with massage therapists in your area to see if they are selling a used portable massage chair. Usually when a massage practice grows and the therapist begins earning better money, she/he will buy an upgraded chair and will sell the chair she/he began her/his practice with. Again, inspect the chair and if there are any tears in the vinyl, I would pass. I was taught in massage school that once the vinyl is ripped, it cannot be used.

Remember, you want to look professional and presenting a torn massage chair is not going to impress clients.

Another place to look for a used portable massage chair is at a clinic. Look for a massage clinic, a chiropractic clinic, or a wellness clinic. Every so often, clinics remodel and get new equipment.

If so, they will probably want to get rid of the old equipment. You may be able to get a chair for a good price. Just make sure that it is lightweight and portable and not heavy. If it is used in a clinic, the chair may be stationary and will be too heavy to carry from place to place. It may be a good chair for you to used in your office. p>
