Massage Products

When I was in massage school, our instructor never told us where we could buy massage products. He said they were not allowed to. If they would not say where we should buy them, how were we supposed to know?

In class, it was never mentioned that there are great massage magazines available or warehouse stores online where you can buy the things you need. We were never even given the name of the massage lotion we used each day because, we were told, the school was not allowed to do so. As new massage therapists, how could we be successful when we did not know what we were doing or what products to buy or where on earth to buy them?

We found out the name of the lotion one day when the instructor had to step out during the clinical portion of class and a school aide who once was a student, brought us our portions of massage lotion and she said, "Here is your Biotone." Yes, we used Biotone lotion. I wrote it down immediately in my notes so I would remember. When I graduated, I bought Biotone in the hypoallergenic form and it is a wonderful product to use on clients.

My Amazon Massage Store

Maybe your massage school believes in giving its students helpful information. But if not, I do. In fact, I have set up a store with some helpful massage products where you can do some shopping for your massage practice.

Take advantage of my store where I have personally selected each item from among thousands offered on Amazon for your convenience.

Of course, you can do an online search for massage products. This is helpful, especially if you know the brand names that you want to buy. Most companies have their own websites.

There are also big warehouses filled with massage items where you can save some money. I almost always order massage items online, unless I am shopping for towels and sheets. These items can be purchased cheaply at local discount stores.

Massage music CDs can be purchased online or at music stores, but I buy all of mine at Dollar Tree. Every once in a while, Dollar Tree gets a great variety of soothing music CDs or nature sounds CDs and I have about 20, all great quality and each one purchased for $1 plus tax. Beat that!

You can also buy three massage magazines that have a lot of advice and advertisements for the massage products you will need. Buy at least one of them each month so you can keep up with all of the new things happening in the world of massage therapy, as well as new massage items that come on the market. I learned so much by reading these magazines. I could never find them at Wal-Mart. Each magazine has a website that you can go to and subscribe or you can just pick them up at Barnes & Noble, which is what I do. Check often because they do not keep a lot of them in stock and they go quickly. I check once a week each month to make sure I get them all.
